Beatrix Potterの描く動物のお話を『おとたのための英語絵本読みの教室』を引き続き読んでいます。Ms.Potterの動物たちの正確なデッサンと水彩での色使いが楽しめるLittle Booksは、ちっちゃな子どもたちの手にもぴったりの絵本です。服と靴をまた失くして意気消沈しているPeter RabbitといとこのBenjamin Bunnyが出てくるThe Tale of Benjamin Bunnyが今回の主役。筆者は特に、Mr. Benjaminが息子Little Benjaminを猫から救うために大活劇を繰り広げる場面が好きです。うさぎタバコのパイプをくわえた、でっぷりしたMr.Benjamin Bunnyは貫禄あります。
絵本を読んでくれているyoutubeがありましたので、Enjoy reading and listening to Potter's picture books whenever you'd like to meet Peter and other animal friends. Also if you like, get her books and keep them beside you.
